Finding A Church
There are four main things to look for when deciding which church to attend:
1. Does the church believe in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit? (Matthew 28:19)
2. Do they believe that Jesus is the one and only Son of God and that He died on the cross and was raised from the dead? (John 3:16) (Mark 15:20-39) (1 Corinthians 15:3-8)
3. Are they agreeing with the fact that knowing Jesus is the only way to Heaven? (John 14:6)
4. Do they know that Jesus still heals people today?
(Acts 3:1-11)
Nearly every church has a website where you can see what they believe in. If not, feel free to give them a call!
*Hebrews 10:25 says that we should continue to go to church, to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together.
The Bible
Where To Start Reading
The best place for a new believer to start reading the Bible is in John. The book of John describes the life of Jesus and what Jesus told us to do in a way that's very clear and understandable. The next book, after John, describes how the church was formed and what the purpose of the church actually was. My best advice is to continue reading on throughout the new testament, followed by the old testament.
